Serving signature homemade dishes from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day of the week, Henry’s restaurant offers American fare from its North Colony Street location in downtown Wallingford. Mr. Henry Pellerin, the owner and main chef of the restaurant, opened the business three years ago. Mr. Pellerin considered several different names before deciding on the eatery’s current title, opting for a name he considered simple but still capable of presenting a comfortable vibe. Mr. Pellerin’s main goal when running the restaurant is to provide quality food in a welcoming setting. “Our mission is to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere in which home-cooked food is served,” he explained.

Mr. Pellerin’s restaurant is family-run and family-owned. Inspired by his father, who owned multiple restaurants throughout his lifetime, Mr. Pellerin has accumulated over 20 years of culinary experience. With a strong desire to provide the Wallingford community with accessible, high-quality meals, Henry runs his business 14 hours every day of the week with the option of take-out, catering, dine-in, or delivery through DoorDash. Through all of his experience with cooking, Henry has come to specialize in homestyle cooking, comfort food, and freshly prepared soups and pies.

Henry’s is not only available for everyday dining but also holds special events. Especially known for birthday parties, business lunches, dinners, and even food trailers to service events outdoors, Henry’s is recognized for fulfilling a variety of requests.

As for the menu, Mr. Pellerin works to prepare each dish to perfection. Since Henry’s specializes in homestyle cooking, the restaurant is most known for its homemade soups and stews served during lunch and dinner. The most popular item on the menu, the signature chicken pot pie, is served at just the right temperature and thoughtfully flavored. For breakfast, Mr. Pellerin prepares a delicious corned beef Reuben, which consists of lean corned beef served on lightly toasted rye bread.

Henry looks to keep his restaurant up to date with feedback and reviews to ensure every customer has an unforgettable experience.
